DHS Softball tryouts will be held September 21st and 22nd at the DHS softball field. Tryouts will begin at 4:00pm, and everyone must have Dragonfly completed in order to try out. If you have any questions, please see Coach Lovett or Coach Netherton.

Students, it is time to think about your Dual Enrollment options for the spring. The deadlines for applying are coming quickly. Please check your email from the Guidance Office about Auburn First and Alabama Early College deadlines and Information. You may also pick up paper copies of this information in the Guidance Office.

Auburn First - The DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR SPRING CLASSES IS OCTOBER 1ST! You can also pick up a paper copy of this information in the Guidance Office. If you pass 4 classes through Auburn First BEFORE AUGUST of your 12th grade year, you will gain AUTOMATIC ADMISSION into Auburn!!! Decatur High Women's Basketball Tryouts - Oct. 14, 15, and 16 at DHS from 3:30-5:30pm.

Any girls grades 9-12 who are interested in trying our for the 2020-2021 Decatur High Women's Basketball Program should see Coach Moore to sign-up. You can sign-up at room G121 (across from the gym). Any interested player should have an updated DragonFly account and updated physical. See Coach Moore if you have any questions

US Congressman Mo Brooks will host Academy Day on Sunday, Sept 27th at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Grisham Pavilion. More details are in your email; to RSVP or ask questions, contact Sandy Garvey at sandy.garvey@mail.house.gov.

Attention students- Voting for the 2020 Homecoming court closes on Tuesday at noon. To vote, look for an email from Ms. Whitmire that contains the google form. Please vote soon! No late votes will be accepted.

The Decatur High Wrestling team will be hosting tryouts Sept. 21-22, starting at 3:40 on the high school track located next to the football fieldhouse. All participants must bring athletic gear and shoes for a mandatory conditioning test . Also as a prerequisite, students must have their Dragon Fly account set up (WWW.Dragonflymax.com) and complete which will include a Doctor's approved physical form. All requirements must be finished prior to tryouts with no exceptions. If you have any questions, please email Coach Lockhart (kevin.lockhart@dcs.k12.al.us)

Students, if you lose something don't forget to check the Lost & Found in the Front Office.

Technology Replacement

For the 2020-21 school year, DCS will be charging for the replacement of a lost Chromebook or charger. The replacement cost for a lost Chromebook is $250 and for a lost charger is $20.

If your Chromebook has been stolen please see the school resource officer.

SCHEDULE YOUR SENIOR PORTRAIT

SENIOR PORTRAITS

Senior portraits will be taken at DHS in November for those who do not have the opportunity to schedule a session in Huntsville at Prestige Portraits. Senior portraits for the yearbook must be made by this company. School session will only include tuxedo/drape photos and will NOT include cap and gown or casual sitting. These are available at the studio in Huntsville.
