WHY: State required assessment for all Seniors

HOW: Bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook and a calculator. No other items in the test room. Workkeys is an online test! If you don't have a calculator one will be provided for you. You should be prepping for ACT Workkeys in your English and Math classes. Your goal is SILVER, GOLD, or PLATINUM!! Be present to WIN!! All present and on time will be entered into a drawing for gift cards! Let us know if you have questions. :)

Senior portrait sign up form was sent to all seniors by Ms. Hurst

Must sign up by this Thursday! If you have already had your portrait taken at Prestige Portraits in Huntsville, then you do not need to sign up for this portrait session.

Attention students: If you are interested in trying out for the DHS Tennis Team, please sign up outside of room 101. Tryouts will be held November 16th-18th from 4:00-5:30 at the Point Mallard Tennis Courts. All those interested in trying out must have an up-to-date physical and dragonfly account. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Whitmire.

HOSA is collecting items for the Mental Health Association in Morgan County. Each year schools from around the area collect specific items for those in need this holiday season. The items needed from DHS are body wash/soap, conditioner, & chapstick. Items are needed for 100 men and 100 women in Morgan County. Please drop off donations in room E201, the media center, or the cafeteria in the drop boxes. Donations will begin Oct 26 & conclude Nov 8. All items will be picked up Nov 12. Thank you!

DHS Girls Soccer tryouts will be held November 16-18 from 3:45 - 5:15 at the Point Mallard Soccer Fields. If you are interested in trying out, please sign up outside room A102 or A210. You must have an up to date physical & a Dragonfly account to try out. If you have any questions please contact Coach Hulsey.

Pop Top Pandemonium has started! DECA is now collecting pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House. Help families in need by bringing in your pop tops. Remember, pop tops can be pulled from soda cans and many canned food items found at home. Every top counts! Turn in tops to E200 or place in labeled containers around school.

Students, If you have not purchased a parking decal yet; you will need to buy one by Friday, November 13th. Please see Mrs. Rameriez (in ISS) or Dr. Abernathy. If one is not purchased by Nov. 13th, your vehicle will be subjected to tow and removed from campus. The cost of a parking decal is $10 - please have exact change.

Please support your Lady Raiders Basketball Team by purchasing Little Debbie Cakes in front of the Auditorium beginning at 3:30pm each day! Prices are .50 and $1.

Technology Replacement

For the 2020-21 school year, DCS will be charging for the replacement of a lost Chromebook or charger. The replacement cost for a lost Chromebook is $250 and for a lost charger is $20.

If your Chromebook has been stolen please see the school resource officer.

If your Chromebook is damaged or if you need a Chromebook or MIFI device, please FILL OUT THE FROM MS. HURST SENT YOU BY EMAIL.
