The mass media classes need your help sharing the awesome pictures that you take at events happening at DMS or involving DMS students!
Please take a moment and download the ReplayIt app. When you use the app for the first time, you will need to find our school, join our school's photo stream, and register for a free account. Once you're registered, you will be able to upload pictures that we can pull from when working on the yearbook in the upcoming months.
Thank you all so much, and the mass media students look forward to seeing your amazing pics!
This week we will examine FERPA laws and how these laws protect our students.
In an emergency, student records must be protected. In some instances, the media or community may wish to gain access to a student's name, age, grade level, or any other information they feel is important. It is crucial in these moments that we protect our students' identity and remember that only, "school officials with a legitimate educational interest” may access FERPA-protected education records" (fema.gov).
Our school-wide discipline is off to a great start! Thank you for working together to fix those broken windows. Students are starting to understand that misbehaviors and civil unrest will not be the norm and will not be accepted. We truly have some great kids!
