Shout out to Kin Priest and his custodian team! Mr. Kin and his team are working diligently over the summer to ensure our school is ready for teachers to teach and students to learn. I don't think this man sits down, and he is always in great spirits.

Reminders and Announcements:

July 8-12: E3 Training at DCS (Soc St at DMS)

Year 1 and Year 2 is July 9-12
Year 3 is one of two sessions - July 9, 10 or July 11, 12
Registration was on aplusala.org and tickets are through Eventbrite

Friday, July 12, 9-12pm - Meeting to develop school-wide procedures. Thank you to those who were able to sign up. I realize this conflicted with E3, and I apologize in advance. We need to have this meeting as early as possible to begin putting the plan in place, and our time is running out. If you would like to provide input and can't make it, please get with someone who will be in attendance (listed below). I will communicate the plan with all of the faculty before we begin posting the school-wide procedures. SUMMER FLEX DAYS Reminder:

As a reminder, teachers are required to complete 2 flex days during the summer. This can be accomplished in a couple ways:

Year 1 and Year 2 A+ College Ready - 4 days - 2 days will be flex days and the other 2 days will have a $100 stipend
Year 3 - 2 days - These 2 days will be your flex days
Attend 10 hours of the trainings District Professional Developments on July 31 and Aug 1. A schedule of sessions and times will be sent out from central office.

Note, that you cannot complete flex days by working in your classrooms. If you have the option to attend A+ College Ready E3 sessions that would be my recommendation.

Schedule Pick up:

First of all, HUGE shout out to Mary Cooper for working so diligently on the schedules. They are almost finished! We will assign each grade level a day for students to pick up schedules and make any necessary changes.

Wednesday, July 24 - 6th Grade Schedule Pick Up

Thursday, July 25 - 7th Grade Schedule Pick Up

Friday, July 26 - 8th Grade Schedule Pick Up
