Teachers,
Thank you all for your diligence to safety during our tornado drill. If, after going through the drill, you have any questions, please let me know.
To update you on the format of alerting the school of a tornadic situation, I would like to clarify the ways in which this can happen. There are times we will use the intercom to announce a tornado drill. However, if there is a power outage or physical damage to our system, we may utilize SchoolCast/email to communicate with you.
If you do not receive SchoolCast messages, please respond to this email.
Furthermore, if your students had to sit two deep (doubled up) please respond to this email and I will give you an area to keep the rest of your students.
Finally, be sure that students do not sit directly under anything hanging on the walls such as a TV, fire extinguisher, or any other heavy, mounted object.
Thank you again for your attention to this matter and for keeping our students safe!
Our school-wide discipline is off to a great start! Thank you for working together to fix those broken windows. Students are starting to understand that misbehaviors and civil unrest will not be the norm and will not be accepted. We truly have some great kids!
