Operations and Management
Operations and Management
Operations and management covers a wide range of duties and responsibilities that a leader must abide by. There are fiscal responsabilities, scheduling, curiculum management, evaluations, and so much more. An effective leader needs to be organized and value the input in others when taking on these tasks.
This artifact is a paper that was written during EDL 279, that discusses the definition of a leader-manager who is constantly looking for areas of improvement. This was written during the spring of 2023.
A leader-manager wears many different hats. This artifact discusses all of the different qualities a leader-manager must have in order to effectively manage the system they are in. It connects to standard 6 by talking about those qualities, which all lead to school improvement and student success.
This artifact is a flowchart that breaks down the steps of each MTSS tier, when trying to problem solve student needs. I worked with my systems BLT to create this flowchart in the fall of 2022.
MTSS is a system that is designed to ensure all student needs are being met at all levels. This artifact shows my proficiency in operations and management by showing my depth of knowledge on MTSS. It is not a system that is strictly for academic problem solving, but instead is a system that allows teachers to look into all aspects of a students well being: academic, behavioral, mental health, etc. An effective leader needs to support the use of MTSS throughout their building.
