3.2 Significant Battle of World War I

Students will be able to:

• By conducting research students will be able to communicate the contribution of Australian soldiers to ONE battle on the Western Front. 

• Australia was involved in 29 battles on the Western Front.

• Nine Queensland Battalions served on the Western Front over 33 months.

We cannot look at all of these battles. Instead, you will choose ONE battle to focus on and conduct research to learn about the contribution of Australian soldiers.
