The Stage 5 Music 200 hour and 100 hour courses offer fun, rewarding learning experiences that are uncommon in many other subjects. Most lessons involve the aim to improve in performance, music creation or music listening skills.
In this course you study Music for both Year 9 & 10.
There is a good balance of performance, listening and composition tasks.
It is not essential, but recommended that you participate in private instrumental lessons (available here at the College through private tutors).

In this course you study Music just in Year 9.

Depth study
Students are required to undertake a depth study in Stage 5 for the 200-hour course. Students draw on content studied in class, and apply knowledge, understanding and skills in an area of individual interest. Depth studies may be completed individually or collaboratively. Students may choose to specialise in one or more of the focus areas: Performing, Listening and Composing.
