Obtaining a Work Permit
Work permits are issued by the County Clerks office at the Lafayette County Courthouse.
You will be asked to complete a form, which needs to be signed by a parent or guardian, provide a driver's license, a social security card and a birth certificate or baptismal certificate.
There is a $10.00 fee.

As summer kicks off and students are looking for work, please know that work permits may now be accessed by parents and guardians with a login on the Department of Workforce Development website at:

Workers over the age of 16 do not require work permits.
