BTEC Level National Extended certificate in Sport
The diploma in Sport is the equivalent to 2 A Levels. The course involves completing 9 units across the 2 years. 3 units are externally assessed with 6 which are internally assessed. The majority of the course is assessed through coursework however 1 unit is assessed via a written exam.
Pupils will study a range of topics across the 2 years which will give pupils an insight into the Sports industry.

How will I be assessed?
45% of the course is externally assessed. Pupils will sit a 1.5hr written paper for unit 1 which is set and marked by Pearson. Unit 2 & 22 is tasked based which is set and marked by Pearson and completed under supervised conditions. Due to the coursework based nature of the course students are expected to produce consistently high standards of work and be able to manage their time well and always meet the deadlines set.
