Subjects offered at Post 16 - A-Level Art, Graphics and Photography
Our Arts Package means students can do one, two or three A Levels in Art related subjects. A Level Fine Art is primarily a painting and drawing based course, although many students also support this with photography. The coursework unit, Unit 1, is a personal project based unit. This is discussed at length with staff in order to enable students to choose appropriate themes.
Painting is oil paint based and outcomes are often large, ambitious and challenging. Students have their own, personal working space which is permanently sited in their studio space enabling students to work in any free period and after school.
The Fine Art course is primarily an oil painting and drawing course. Oil paint lets you access large scale finished outcomes if this is appropriate to you. Students will also become involved with digital photography if the chosen personal project needs this and most do. Developing your own ideas to conclusions and executing them to a very high standard is fundamentally what the Fine Art course delivers.
Please note that not all courses will necessarily be at the site mentioned in our videos.
