A level biology is an extremely interesting course looking into the workings of the human body and the world around us.
The units studied include;
2 Cells
4 Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms
6 Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments (A-level only)
7 Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems (A-level only)
There is a strong emphasis on practical work in the course, including dissections and the use of aseptic technique.
A level biology is a challenging course, with aspects of chemistry and maths, however it is also extremely rewarding and can lead to careers in many different fields such as medicine, dentistry, scientific research and pharmacology.
Please note that not all courses will necessarily be at the site mentioned in our videos.
