Subjects offered at Post 16 - BTEC. Level 3 National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
The course develops theoretical and practical knowledge, understanding and experience of the Engineering sector, along with the development of thinking, problem solving and intrapersonal skills. Students complete a wide range of units, developing an understanding of not just hard Engineering in the form of machining processes and manufacturing techniques, but also wider aspects, for example Health and Safety, design techniques and applications, commercial and quality principles and properties of metals.
What will I learn?
You will complete a wide range of units, developing an understanding of not just hard Engineering in the form of machining processes and manufacturing techniques, but also wider aspects, for example health and safety, design techniques and applications, commercial and quality principles and properties of metals. You will complete 10 units with 2 units that will be externally assessed by exam.
