Welcome to A-level English Language

In Year 12 pupils will study ‘Language and the Individual’ which introduces pupils to language analysis through a variety of different texts whilst analysing meaning and representation. ‘Language Varieties’ focuses on the analysis of language in its wider social and geographical contexts. In Year 13 pupils will learn to develop their skills from Year 12 in a more discursive and evaluative manner and produce two pieces of written non examination assessments.
