Welcome to the interactive learning page for kindergarten students! On this page, you will find website resources for reading, writing, math, science, social studies, English Learners, and the arts. Kids can spend time learning with these sites to build fluency in all areas!
Math
In Kindergarten, children should build a strong foundation in number relationships. The following online resources offer kindergarteners an opportunity to work with and reinforce their understanding of numeracy.
Kindergarten students should spend 15-20 minutes a day practicing math.
Use ten frames to explore numbers
Use ten frames to find number combinations
Match numerals to visual representations
Practice number recognition
Reading
Kindergarten students should read aloud or be read to for 20-30 minutes each day. It is important for students to read a variety of texts they are excited about.
Throughout the summer, students should work on the Summer Work Packs sent home at the end of the last week of school. Lessons are labeled in the workbook beginning with "day 1." We encourage students to complete one lesson per day, Monday through Thursday, each week. There are 20 lessons total. Students should continue to read every day throughout the entire summer.
Kindergarteners practice ARC Power Words linked below. Students can also respond to comprehension questions by talking about the text or writing about it.
