Enjoy the summer, your children, and lots of good books!
Danbury Public Schools has provided a book bag with three books and a summer reading journal. Students can choose to read all these books and select one additional novel to read and complete their incoming grade level assignment.
All grade levels are required to complete their summer reading assignments. Credit will be given for summer work submitted no later than September 12th.
Please see your choice board for your incoming grade level assignment below.
Summer is about choices! Please choose additional books that you will read. You should pick books that are of interest to you and are at your reading level; however, be sure to pick a book that you have not already read.*
Our Physical Education Department goal includes helping students understand that proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and physical activity can all impact academic performance and overall mental and physical wellness. We are here to encourage your children to support these healthy behaviors at all stages of development. You can help us to motivate your child to establish healthy eating habits by teaching them how they can select the healthier foods including fruits, vegetables, protein and more. Physical Fitness and movement are also priorities to support a healthy mind and body. We encourage students to engage in healthy physical activity every day. Below you will find an example of how you can encourage your child to move and become physically active while having some fun! Use this link for a parent toolkit of information that may interest you.
