Reading
Fourth Graders should read for 30-50 minutes each day. It is important for students to read a variety of texts that they are excited about.
Throughout the summer, students should work on the Summer Bridge Activities (located in the blue bag) sent home the last week of school. Lessons are labeled in the workbook beginning with "day 1."We encourage students to complete one lesson per day, Monday through Thursday.
Each page also has a code to access 10 free IXL lessons online each day - an account is not required. Students should continue to read every day throughout the entire summer.
Fourth-grade students can respond to comprehension questions by talking about the text and writing about it.
