Math

In 1st grade, your child is developing an understanding of addition and subtraction within 20, building a foundation in place value ideas, exploring linear measurement, and deepening their understanding of shapes. The online resources below offer an opportunity for your child to build on and reinforce ideas presented in the classroom.

First graders should read aloud for 15-20 minutes each day. It is important for students to read a variety of texts they are excited about.

It is important for young learners to listen to stories every day! Students can hear stories read aloud from a family member, in RAZ Kids and on other websites!
