DPA! Foster Portal - Adoption Team

Meet the Adoption Team! The adoption team is your contact for when your foster has an adoption application. The adoption team reviews the applications that come in, ask the applicants any necessary questions about their adoption inquiry, and they process the adoption contracts and fees. If you are a foster, and have an adoption-related question please utilize your primary contact, foster@dallapetsalive.org. Check out the Adoption Resources page for more information on the adoption process.

My name is Jon and I am the Adoption Director. I also volunteer as an Adoption Counselor for Dallas Pets Alive and have been on the adoption team since 2017. My wife and I have adopted four dogs from Dallas Pets Alive along with fostering dogs. My normal job is as a detention officer. When I'm not working or volunteering you can find me watching YouTube, especially space, alien, and Bigfoot videos

My name is Kelsey and I am the Lead Adoptline Volunteer along with being an Adoption Counselor. I have been volunteering with Dallas Pets Alive since 2017. My husband and I have adopted four dogs from Dallas Pets Alive plus we foster dogs. I am a school librarian and I love to read in my spare time/whenever I have a free second.

Hi! I’m Jamie, a Volunteer Adoption Counsellor here at Dallas Pets Alive! I’m passionate about animal welfare, animal care and animal nutrition. Before joining the team, I spent over eight years as a dog and pet sitter in Australia. My partner and I share our home with our two wonderful fur babies, Mala and Agent S’mores. When I’m not assisting with adoptions, I love traveling, binge-watching TV series and movies, reading, crafting, and cooking.

I currently do Adoptline the second half of the month on Saturdays. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and currently work as an Executive Assistant at a hospital. I have three dogs: a Cocker Spaniel/Chihuahua mix named Dax, a super mutt named Bailey, and a senior Cavalier King Charles named Marshall. My photo is with Bailey. I just started a Masters of Communication program with Southern Utah University.

I love singing and playing the piano, going to concerts, traveling, watching football (go Lions!) and trying new restaurants downtown.

Hi! I'm Swati, a volunteer adoption counselor at DPA. I care most about protecting animals and providing them with the kindest, most loving, and most nourishing environments possible. I've owned dogs and cats all my life, and even help take care of other folks' pets, including little hissing roaches! I hope to keep helping animals as I continue my journey through medical school. When I'm not working in research during the week, I spend time volunteering with unhoused communities and training in/teaching different dance styles.
