In March 2023, Dallas Pets Alive opened a 40-foot shipping container at Community Beer Co., a brewery in Dallas. In our Adoption Container we have two touch-screen TVs that showcase our adoptable animals, we have our merchandise for sale, and it is a place for DPA to connect with the community.

The Adoption Container is located at Community Beer Co. 3110 Commonwealth Dr, Dallas, TX 75247.
Questions about the adoption container? Email container@dallaspetsalive.org
You are allowed to stay as long as you would like - or as long as your foster will tolerate the crowd, noise, and people. Dogs must must be leashed the entire time - no retractable leashes. Cats need to be in a playpen or cat backpack (we have some, just let us know!)
When you arrive, come inside the container to check-in. Your foster will get a vest to wear for the day and you will receive some business cards to put your foster's info on to hand out.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What do I do while I am here? Walk around with your foster, have a drink/get some food, talk to people about your foster
What to expect? Poppin' brewery with lots of people, kids and other dogs. There is an outdoor space, indoor space, and patio space to hang out with your foster
Can someone apply for and adopt my foster? Absolutely! If your foster is cleared for adoption and the applicant is approved, the meet and greet can take place at the container. If you felt comfortable your foster could leave with them.
Please review the attachments to best advocate for your foster while at the space. Some highlights:
Watch your foster's body language
If children are running up to your foster stop them - this is an accident waiting to happen, please be vigilant
DOGS ARE NOT MEETING - we are not allowing dogs to meet on leash - this includes fosters to fosters and patrons' dogs as well
If at any time you feel like it is best to leave, please let the DPA member inside the container know, and be sure to return your vest.
Bring their favorite treats or a high value treat (examples: freeze dried treats, cheese, or deli meat).
Do a decompression walk before or play some fetch to work burn off any anxious energy
Bring a towel or blanket if you want to hang out inside.
Think of ways to make this a positive and enjoyable experience for them!
