Grants Pass High School Student Digital Newspaper - The March 2025 Issue
Somehow, we have made it to March! March used to be the first month of the Roman calendar due to it being the first month of spring. Spring officially begins on Mar. 20, so get ready for rain and sun. March celebrates St. Patrick's Day on Mar. 17 and is also Women's History Month. In terms of local events, the Saturday Summer Market will reopen on Mar. 8 and the Grants Pass Dance Club will be meeting every Mon. from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Josephine County Fairgrounds.
International Women's Day is on Mar. 8. Learn about important women through articles like "Inventions Made by Women" by Be Bretko and "Women's History Month" by Dani Porterfield. Furthermore, check out "Future of Female Presidency" by Tessa Hager and "Virginia Hall" by Phoenix.
Students get a whole ten days of spring break this year, starting on Mar. 21. The days following spring break mark the beginning of the trudge to the end of the school year, in which there are seven full weeks of school with only one four-day week for students until senior graduation. Enjoy the break while you can!
Last month's winners of the Hunt is On are: Sofia Richert, Elizabeth Dugan, and Jacob Hoyle.
The Hunt is On: March is fairy themed. Fairies have hidden all over The Scroll, and there are six of them in total. Press this link if you think you've found them all.
