About the Artistic Style
As I go through and discover different styles that the most unique of people wear, I find that each one has a deeper meaning for each person.
This month, the fashion trend is as it says: artistic. It is about the creation of an individual. People who tend to dress in this style are often drawn towards items that are handcrafted or particularly unique. This trend stays away from conventional fashion styles and resembles the fashion sense of a creative thinker who wants to make a statement. The beauty of this fashion style is that it is different depending on the person, a style with ultimate freedom. And who wouldn't want that?
If you are a creative soul that loves to experiment with various clothing styles, an artsy look might be perfect for you. Someone who embodies the unconventional artsy style aims to make a statement with their clothing. They seek out bold and colorful pieces and stay away from traditional items. Because there are no rules for what someone with an artistic style should or should not wear, the wearer is free to fully express themselves and be as experimental as they want.
Whether you are a total art lover, a big believer in self-expression, or simply a gal who wants to dress outside the box more often, shouldn’t your wardrobe match your creative spirit? Dressing artsier can seem intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Here are three easy ways to get a little more of an artsy fashion style.
Mix Prints
A polka dot top and floral pants. Mix the two and you will instantly look more creative. The trick is to keep the patterns in the same color family and to vary the size of the print. Otherwise, you can look odd instead of cool.
Wear an Asymmetrical Tunic and Leggings (or Skinny Jeans)
Even the most conservative of us have days where we feel like being a little different. Asymmetric tops have a more of a creative feeling than a regular top because of their angled (the high to low) hemlines. This way you can change things just a little, yet still be your normal self, so why be too crazy? The best way to style one is to wear it over a pair of black leggings. Tall, flat boots and some interesting jewelry also add the fab factor.
Wear Creative or Dramatic Jewelry
Creative style is a little off kilter, so one way to add an artsy style to your everyday outfit is with accessories. Go for something unique, like a handmade artisan piece that looks like a sculpture. And just be creative! You can go for bold, oversize options like a big cuff. Some kind pieces will let your personality shine through and enhance the vibe of your outfit.
