The Scroll

Meeting Information: This club meets from 3:30pm - 4:30pm after school on Tuesday in room 235.

Club Description: The Scroll is GPHS’ Digital School Newspaper club. Open to students of all talents--writing, photography, film, art, poetry, podcast hosting, sports reporting, and any other passion you may want to share with your community!

Yearbook

Meeting Information: This club meets every Monday and Thursday after school (3:30-4:30) in room 605.

Club Description: Yearbook is a club open to all students, aimed at accomplishing creating a lasting memory for students for years to come in the form of a yearbook.

Southern Oregon Pride Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every Wednesday at lunch from 12:30pm -1:30pm in room 235.

Club Description: SO Pride is an equity-based club aimed at providing a safe place for students on their journey of finding who they are. This club provides leadership and community-building opportunities and strives to help GP to be an ever-increasing inclusive and understanding community.

Student Interview: The best thing about being part of this club is the openness of every single individual that steps into the room and the feeling of community. I truly feel safe in this club and I know that all of the peers in there accept me for who I am.

zclub

Meeting Information: This club meets every Monday after school from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 206.

Club Description: Z Club is a leadership, service, and advocacy organization for high school students sponsored by Zonta International. Students in Z Club participate in community service and actively work to achieve gender equity in society.

Anime Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every Wednesday after school from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 211.

Club Description: Exploration of various aspects of Japanese culture.

Dungeons and Dragons Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every Tuesday after school from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 212.

Club Description: Dungeons and Dragons club consists of learning how to play this fantasy role- playing game.

Enviromental Action Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every 3rd Thursday during 5b lunch in room 311.

Club Description: Working on ways to improve our environment, both locally and globally.

FBLA: Future Buisness leaders of america

Meeting Information: This club meets every second Wednesday during lunch in room 600.

Club Description: Future Business Leaders of America is a student-led program, aimed at bringing students and businesses together in a positive working relationship through leadership and career development programs. FBLA members participate in career-related activities, partnership with local businesses, community service efforts and much, much more.

Thespian Troupe

Club Description: Theatre students have opportunities to participate in a variety of Thespian events.

Student Interview: Being a part of this group gives you an amazing opportunity to express yourself and let yourself shine through to the community-- whether that be through acting, singing, dancing, or any backstage help like light design, sound design, set construction/painting, or stage management. Our troupe advocates for an environment of acceptance, open-mindedness, and equity & you'll truly find a family within this theatre community.

Noted Information: Thespian Troupe Meetings are now every other Wednesday during our S.T. Time (12:00pm-12:25pm) which includes October 27th, November 10th, November 24th, & December 8th.

nasu: NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENT UNION

Meeting Information: This club meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month in room 206 from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

Club Description: NASU is a multi-ethnic group made up of GPHS Native students from different nations who come together for cultural, educational, and service activities. Come share and celebrate your culture and support one another.

German Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every

Club Description: Learn about German language, country and culture. Play German board games, watch movies etc. $5 fee to participate.

Student Interview: The best thing about the being part of the club is the opportunity to experience different aspects of a culture outside of our own. We have a lot of fun activities planned and there are no repercussions associated with absence.

History Club

Meeting Information: This club meets every third Wednesday during lunch in room 130.

Club Description: Learn more about history and perhaps traveling abroad.

Noted Information: The history club participates in an event called The State of Jefferson Scavenger Hunt. Students will work together to answer questions given to us by Southern Oregon University. Students will then participate in the adjudication where, we will defend our team answer and explain why ours is right. If you are interested or want more information please email the advisor.

Club Description: A service organization connected with the Kiwanis. The objective is to develop competent, capable and caring leaders through service.

Speech and Debate

Meeting Information: This club meets every Wednesday from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 136.

Club Description: A competition team that competes at local, state and national levels. There are different speaking events, team debate events and individual debate events. You will develop essential skills that employers and colleges look for in applicants.

mock trial

Meeting Information: This club begins in late October and ends prior to Spring Break. Held in room 203.

Club Description: Mock Trial is a team activity which students prepare and present a complex legal case. Students take on roles of the legal team. They compete against other teams.

origami Club

Club Description: Learning the relaxing art of folding paper into various shapes.

Robotics Engineering Club

Meeting Information: This club meets Tuesdays after school from 3:15pm in room 835.

Club Description: This is a competition-based club, where students develop 21st century skills, teamwork, problem solving, project management and communication.
