Toys For Tots Giveaway

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a charity. It was made to bring joy to children lacking opportunity in America, ages 1-18, by collecting new, unwrapped toys to distribute to them. There are local campaigns conducted annually in over 800 communities all throughout the United States. The organization was formed in 1947, and has continued since then. The giveaway will occur on Dec. 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM through 6:00 PM and Dec. 20, from 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM. The address is 1451 Fairgrounds Rd, at the Pavilion building where the line will form around. Pre-registration is required. Be prepared to show ID and proof of residence in Josephine County.

Jacksonville Victorian Christmas

Jacksonville Victorian Christmas has different events to celebrate Christmas. This includes the Victorian Christmas Parade. The parade is Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 along California Street. There are weekend activities throughout, as well. “Father Christmas” is an event that will occur on weekends. There is holiday shopping and musical entertainment. There is an area to take photos with Father Christmas on the 3rd St/California St. entrance of Beekman Bank, starting at 11:00 AM and lasting until 4:00 PM. A big hit is the 1873 Beekman House Museum, occurring each weekend of December throughout the 19th. This gives people the chance to learn about the many cultures that contributed to the Christmas traditions common today. The tour guides are limited to six people. Reservations are recommended and tours are not recommended for children under six. The tour is $5.00 per person. They are 15 minutes long and are available starting at 12:00 PM through 3:00 PM.

Christmas Craft Fair

The Grants Pass/ Merlin Women of the Moose will be hosting a Christmas Craft Fair. There are going to be many vendors and everyone will have the opportunity to buy unique gifts at the stands for a low price. Vendor spaces are available for only $10.00 per spot. The Festival will occur on Saturday, December 4, starting at 10:00 AM through 3:00 PM. The address is 330, Merlin Rd.

Wild Winter Wonderland

WIldlife Images and its Animal Ambassadors welcome everyone to enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate or apple cider and see the Christmas lights. There will be fun events and activities. Santa will be there from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Admission is $20.00 for adults, $18.00 for seniors, $13.00 for children, and free for members of Wildlife Images. It will occur the weekend of the 11th and 12th of December starting from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The address is 11845 Lower River Rd, at the Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center.

Grants Pass Christmas Parade

The Grants Pass Christmas Parade will have the theme "It's a Wonderful Life" this year. Spectators will sit on either side of 6th and 7th street from D to K street. There will be an after-party, Christmas caroling led by GPHS choir, a performance band, Santa Claus, and gift and candy handouts. The parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 5:30 PM. They remind people to make sure they bring chairs, warm clothes, and Christmas spirit!

Grants Pass Tree Lighting

The Grants Pass Down Town Christmas Tree Lighting is an annual event for the whole family. Every year, people gather in the Grants Pass historic district. There are festivities and even Santa makes a visit. This year, Santa will speak to the children through a Zoom call. Festivities begin at 7:00 PM. At 7:15, the call with Santa will begin, and the Christmas tree lighting will be at 7:30. The address is on 5th Street, between H and G Streets.
