Safe/Welcome/

Supported/Inspired

How can we ensure ALL students feel safe, welcome, supported, and inspired?

In these trying times, helping our students feel SAFE takes priority.

The DOE has created an incredible set of health and safety lesson, many specifically related to COVID 19. You can find them all here.

We need to WELCOME our students back - and in D79 we know we are welcoming new students every day.

This Restorative Circles Handbook provides a guide for how to build a classroom community -both for in person learning AND remote!

This guide on Facilitation Tips for Remote Circles provides even more idea on how to welcome and support students in a remote context.

Our students may need SUPPORT, especially when dealing with grief, loss, trauma or their own self care.

Webinar - Resiliency, Self-Care, and Healing (35 minutes long) This session addresses self-care domains and practical strategies (and overcoming barriers) for self-care for adults as well as strategies to talk to students during the pandemic; expected reactions during the crisis.
