Taiwan boasts a diverse range of mango varieties, with "Xia Xue" being the most anticipated in 2025. It combines the rich aroma of native mangoes, the delicate flavor of Irwin mangoes, and the sweetness of Jin Huang mangoes, earning it the title of the "LV of mangoes." The mainstream market is led by "Irwin," known for its rosy skin, thin flesh, and juicy sweetness; the giant "Jin Huang" is beloved for its thick, chewy flesh and fiber-free texture. Among the specialty varieties, "Hei Xiang" has a unique longan aroma and is easily recognizable with its green skin and yellow flesh; "Xi Shi" is famous for its silky smooth flesh. For those who prefer high sweetness, "Jin Mi" is a must-try, boasting a sweetness level of up to 21 degrees Brix. The 2025 Tainan International Mango Festival is scheduled to take place in late June, providing the perfect opportunity to savor these delicacies.

Its skin is a vibrant red like an apple, with delicate flesh, a rich aroma, and a perfect balance of sweet and sour.Golden Emperor: Large in size, with thick, almost fiberless flesh and a light milky aroma.Native Mango: The most common early variety in Taiwan. Small in size but extremely fragrant, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour; often used to make "lover's fruit".Yuwen: Developed from Golden Emperor and Irwin. It combines the large size of Golden Emperor with the sweet color of Irwin, boasting high sweetness and tender flesh.
Xia Xue: Hailed as the "LV of the mango world." It possesses the aroma of a native mango, the delicate flavor of Irwin mangoes, and the sweetness of Golden Emperor mangoes, making it the first variety to have its own unique identification.Hei Xiang: When ripe, the peel remains green, and it has a distinctive "longan aroma," making it highly recognizable.Shui Mi Tao Mango: When ripe, the stem emits a peach aroma, the peel is pink, and the taste is refreshing and mellow.Jin Mi: Extremely sweet, reaching 21 degrees Brix when fully ripe, it is one of the sweetest varieties currently available on the market.
