2025 RIDGELINE HS

Percussion AUDITIONS

Marching Band Percussion Placement

We will hold auditions for students who want to participate in the Ridgeline HS Marching Band percussion program next school year, 2025 - 2026. Auditions give you a chance to work with the band staff and experienced students to help assess and grow your current skill level so you are prepared and placed on the correct instrument for marching band.

Students who currently are in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade are expected attend, as are 8th graders from Greenacres MS, and Selkirk MS - who expect to attend Ridgeline HS in 2025 - 2026. Times and materials are highlighted below, if you do not come to these events - we do not know if you want to be part of the incredible marching band experience our school is proud to offer - please make sure we see you. Come to all of the audition dates for your section.

Incoming freshmen, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to come to all three audition dates to assure you are placed in a position that helps you succeed. Remember to bring the printed packet downloadable with the respective dates.

All members must complete the FINAL FORMS registration prior to the first audition date: do this now. Please email our percussion coordinator, Mr. Nate Hunt with questions, nahunt@cvsd356.org.

First Full-Ensemble meeting will take place on Monday December 9th at 2:20pm in the RHS Band Room. We will listen and talk through the show together at that meeting. Sheet music for musicians will be posted via the RIP Google Classroom this weekend. Check the RIP Band for the join code.

2024 "Skyward"

RIP's 2024 Production of Skyward used original music by Nate Hunt and "Fly" by Nickki Minaj-Ft Rhianna. Skyward took 3rd Place Scholastic Open at the WGI Portland Regional, 2nd Place Overall in the WGI Open Class Virtual World Championships, and 2nd Place at the 2024 NWAPA Indoor Percussion Championships in Sherwood, OR.

RIP off to a great start

Ridgeline Indoor Percussion took 2nd Place in Scholastic Open Class at the 2023 Century Winter Showcase in Hillsboro, OR in their first ever competitive debut.
