Raven
Central Valley Marching Band & Color Guard Fall 2022 Show
The "Raven," our 2022 Fall production, has the potential to become one of the Central Valley Marching Band's most memorable shows. We're looking forward to getting the show started!
Raven is a show about the darkest parts of the mind. Trapped in an ancient labyrinth, Raven struggles to outwit and outrun the devious monsters of the maze. Does the innocent always win in the end, or is it a blind chase into the darkness?
The show is meant to turn the normal field show upside down, with features like seamless movements, eccentric movement, and an unexpected ending for our main character Raven. The show is intended to thrill, excite, and spook our audience. We look forward to presenting, Raven.
The music for the show, arranged by John Matthews II (winds) and Tim Zilar (Percussion), pulls inspiration from the song “Raven” by Beth Whitney, “Paint it Black”, by The Rolling Stones, and “Hymn of Axiom” by Vienna Teng. Our drill writer is Peter Bates.
