Mohammed Bilbeisi is an imaginative professor, architect, author, illustrator, and watercolorist. His students have won numerous national and international architectural design competitions under his direction in the design studio. He is the recipient of the OSU Eminent Professor award in addition to placing first in the KROB Architectural Delineation Competition and First place in the American Society of Architectural Illustrators’ International Competition in the sketch category. Professor Bilbeisi retired from Oklahoma State University with the rank of Regents Professor and relocated to Washington, DC where he teaches at the Catholic University of America. He lectures nationally and internationally in the fields of Design, Graphic Communication, and History/Theory of Islamic Architecture. He recently published Creative Journeys and Graphic Journaling, university textbooks that investigates the relationship between drawing, journaling, and travel.
