Charlie Cautero is a sophomore Music student who writes poetry as a hobby in his spare time. He doesn't write as often as he'd like, and when he does he often finds it too personal (or too silly) to share. He's never been published. He hopes you enjoy the poem as much as he did writing it.
—Alleluia Alleluia—
Glorify the Lord
Or keep Him happy
These jeans were a bit too tight
And I noticed mud on the knees as He called
But I flew down the stairs
And heard the car’s warm hum with
My sneakers in one hand, and my belt in
its little belt bin
—Alleluia Alleluia—
The Lord said to doubting Thomas,
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe”
“How lucky am I,” I thought as
I tugged against my pants
“To be holier than an Apostle”
—Alleluia Alleluia—
