All undergraduate students at The Catholic University of America are eligible to join the magazine's staff in the upcoming Winter 2024 semester. 

Vermilion is offered as a class (ENG 220) through the English Department:

EBG220 examines the academic and professional practices that inform the publication of literary magazines. Over the course of the semester, students will receive training and experience in publication as they work to produce the English Department's official online magazine for literature and the arts. Advised by Faculty Editors, students in the course will serve as the Student Editorial Board for the magazine and assume primary responsibility for selecting, editing, and publishing material for the magazine. Work on the magazine and website, as well as their own creative pieces, will provide students with real-world experience in the professional fields of publishing and editing.   

This course counts toward the Writing Minor.
