Cannot Catch the Dark

Beverly Rose Joyce

Bitten,

love

drops

from

dipped

berry.

Lands on stripes that make racetracks of my breasts.

I

cannot

catch

the

dark

before

it

steeps just enough to leave its mark. In the stitches.

Fleshy

tip

brings

the

sweet

gone

wet

to my lip.

And I find the stain worth it.
