+ CREATE YOUR FIRST SCREENCAST

Each movie you make with the free version allows you to create a 5 minute or less video.

1. Navigate to a webpage you want to record (maybe a set of Google Slides or a website you want to view with your students). You can also record your entire computer screen so you can show students a program on your computer (like Python or Photoshop)

2. Click on the Screencastify icon in your Chrome browser extensions (top right). The icon looks like a red arrow with a camera inside it.

3. Indicate what kind of screen sharing you want to do.  And whether you want your microphone on and/or your webcam.

4. Select the Record button. You will receive a 3 second countdown before it begins recording. Additionally, in the bottom corner, you will have tools to pause the recording, finish the recording, or start the recording over.

These tools are located in the bottom left corner of the recording. You can pause, start over, end, erase, and even set your mouse to appear differently to show your clicks more visibly, for instance.

+ SHARING OR EDITING SCREENCASTS
