CLOSED CAPTIONING

Want to make sure your multimedia and lessons are accessible to all students? Learn about all the different accessibility features of the tools we use. See specific instructions for Youtube, Vimeo, and Google Slides below.

YOUTUBE

Navigate to a video you want to show. Select the cc button to the right of the progress bar. It will be underlined red when closed captions are turned on.

VIMEO

For videos that have closed captioning enabled, you will see a CC logo in the progress bar. Select it and choose your default language.

GOOGLE SLIDES

You can turn on captioning for Google Slides as you give presentations. Slides will use your microphone to pick up the sound of your voice and translate your speech to text on the slide itself. You must make sure you enable your microphone when prompted.

Open your presentation in Google Slides.
