Dr. John Reitzel

Dr. Reitzel's research focuses primarily on the intersection of race/ethnicity, socioeconomics, and policing, evidence-based, policing, reentry & recidivism, hate crimes, crime trends and criminal justice policy. Over the years, he has consulted for several different government agencies and non-government organizations, including his most recent collaboration from 2018-2021 with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health as lead evaluator on a Prop 47 intervention grant funded by the California Board of State and Community Corrections.
