Dr. Giuffre's primary research interests include the social harms of criminal legal system contact, financial operations of the criminal legal system, and corrections. She is currently working on projects that explore how individuals on community supervision approach and perceive social support exchange; how people on probation view the experience of community supervision and their roles in the community more broadly; the characteristics associated with length of stay and readmission to jails; and the overlap between consumer debt and legal-financial debt.
