Dr. Weiss's research interests are in comparative criminology & criminal justice, developmental & life course criminology, and corrections. He is currently working on an evaluation of Riverside County Probation Department’s efforts towards promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in its workforce and operations. He is also working on a campus climate study for formerly incarcerated students and a project that explores the relationship between public funding in various areas (e.g., police, social services) and crime.
