The SEEDE Institute

The Social-Emotional, Ethics, and Democratic Education (SEEDE) Institute is a weeklong experience designed to build the capacity of K-8 teachers to position their students as storytellers and change-makers regarding issues of classroom, school, and community concern. After participating in the Institute, participants become SEEDE Ambassadors, who are empowered to become public intellectuals of this work. The selection process is competitive and all accepted applicants will receive a $1000 stipend, as well as children and young adult literature for their classroom libraries.
