EQUITY & INCLUSION MORNINGS

Currently, all District 99 staff participate in these morning sessions focused on Equity & Inclusion. These sessions are intended for staff to develop understanding of student and staff equity and inclusion. The learning groups within these sessions provides an opportunity for adult learners to learn about and with each other, and to find ways to make equity and inclusion foundations of all job roles.
These morning sessions focus primarily on the Tone & Trust and the School Implications and Applications components of the Equity & Inclusion framework.
Equity & Inclusion Mornings uses a modified version of the Inquiry professional learning protocol.

Tone & Trust includes forming a community of engaged learners who can constructively learn and collaborate together
PPersonal Culture and Personal Journey includes reflection on self and interactions with others. This includes learning about identities and developing cultural competenceSSocial Dominance to Social Justice includes exploring current and historical privilege, power, and difference through the lens of social dominance

School Applications includes utilizing Equity & Inclusion learning to reinforce the importance of adult-student relationships and finding ways to make schools more equitable and inclusive.
CSystemic Change involves examining organizational barriers to equity and inclusion and creating plans to overcome those barriers
