LITERACY 99 WORKSHOP

What does literacy look like across all disciplines? How can we best support student learning and best engage students as they tackle complex texts and topics? In this three day workshop, which replaces Project CRISS, the participants will experience hands on learning strategies that will support all levels of students in all content areas. Using multimodal texts, participants will learn ways to reach students and take away lessons that can be used immediately in all academic areas. In addition, participants will be given time to refine pre-existing materials to best meet the needs of today's learners. Participants should bring their fully charged tablet.
