How can we use assessment to improve student learning? In this three-day workshop, participants will learn about the role of assessment in improving student motivation and performance. Timely topics, such as "Assessment FOR and OF Learning," and Understanding by Design will be studied within the context of a new vision for classroom assessment. Participants will have the opportunity to work with their curriculum sequences to incorporate dynamic assessment methodologies that provide critical performance data on teaching and student achievement. Practical, ready-to-use techniques, tips, and strategies for improving classroom assessment will be offered throughout the three sessions. Leave the session with a new and/or improved skill set that can dramatically improve classroom success.
