Sound Innovation Books

All students in 5th grade band are required to have a Sound Innovations Book (2nd Edition). Each instrument will have a slightly different version. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that students have a book that matches their instrument.

A Few Important Notes on Selecting the Books:

Clarinets select “Clarinet” NOT Alto or Bass Clarinet
Saxophones select “Alto Saxophone” NOT Tenor or Baritone Saxophone
Euphonium select “Baritone BC” NOT Baritone TC
Percussion select “Combined Percussion” NOT Percussion or Mallet

5th Grade Band

5th grade band is a very exciting time in a young musician's life! Students are beginning a journey that can lead to a lifelong source of enjoyment through playing their instrument.

The Crestview Music Department is always eager to see another class of young musicians get started. This page will serve as a source of information for parents and students as they begin and continue their journey in band.
