Payton Endangered Animal Society (PEAS) raises awareness of multiple endangered species. Typical meetings include a species highlight and an art-based activity. We recognize the intersection of art and advocacy work and encourage our members to express their creativity during meetings. PEAS is open to all, but we ask that participants be present and involved in discussions.

Payton Environmental Society (PES) is a club dedicated to keeping students up to date on environmental issues and policies in an effort to make the Payton community more environmentally conscious. During enrichment, the leaders will give a lecture on a particular environmental concern such as fast fashion, greenwashing, or food waste. We also present films suggested by members ranging from exposés revealing the truth behind corporations to animated movies that encourage love for the environment.
Apart from discussing environmentalism, PES also organizes events and activities to promote sustainability in the Payton community. One of our most well-known initiatives was the school-wide clothing swap, where students were able to browse through donated racks of clothing and take clothes for free. Any leftover clothes were either donated or upcycled. Thanks to our members' efforts, we were able to give a second life to many clothes that would have otherwise ended up in landfills, further contributing to the issue of textile waste.
