In 1891, Irish author Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) observed, “Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man’s original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion.” To what extent do you agree or disagree?
I agree with Wilde and his claim that "It is through disobedience that progress has been made." Because it's through disobediance that people find new and modern ways improve their vehicles - both in Perfomance and Capability. In order to push the limits of motor advancement, one must first disobey the norms and create their own ideas.
One example of someone creating their own ideas is Kei Miura. Miura started out his career with a hobby of modelling and creating parts for both his and other peoples' cars. These parts can not only make cars stand out, but also improve their aerodynamics. This hobby later turned into his main business. And it's with this business where he created the popular collection of body kits - Rocket Bunny.
Miura doesn't own a large building to work at. Instead, he models and creates all his kits from the inside of his garage in Kyoto, Japan
He aims to change the looks of various types of cars so they stand out - regardless of how cheap or common they are.
Before he began working on vehicles, Miura worked as a mechanic for Disneyland, Tokyo. After he saved up enough money, Miura purchased a Macbook and has been using CAD (Computer Aided Design) which is what he's been using to design for 30 years.
