Does disobedience promotes progress?
I agree with Wilde statement. New systems, new policies and new laws have been established by people who has stood up and shared their perspectives and ideologies, with their bravery they was able to relate to different people and build a connection within their community from music, protests, etc
One example that supports Wilde claim is Lauryn Hill, a female artist. In her album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, she discusses on her upbringing from childhood to until now in her life, the hardships throughout her life with being a female and also how she feels about her environment now through her music. She shares all her experiences in order to relate but yet, empathize with a larger group of people within or outside her community, creating a dynamic and giving people a unspoken voice within her music.
Lauryn Hill was born on May 26, 1975 in Newark, NJ
Hill has won eight Grammy Awards, one is Best Rap Album of The Year
Hill is the mother of six children, five with Rohan Marley, former football player and son of music icon Bob Marley.
