I agree with Wilde's claim that disobedience allows progress to be made. Through disobedience, you challenge certain values or laws that are unfit and they're forced to be acted upon. 

An american labor leader and civil rights activist. He was one of the two who founded the National Farm Workers Association which then turned into a union. His goal was to improve farmers working and living conditions. He did this through non-violent civil disobedience like strikes, boycotts, marches and fasts.
