My name is Mrs. Salmorin, and I am excited to be working with 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students this year!

I grew up in Chicago and graduated from Lane Tech high school. I studied to become a teacher at Illinois State University and later on completed a master’s degree at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I live with my husband, our 8 ½ year old (Dustin), and our 4 ½ year old (Dawson). This is my 20th year teaching, and I am excited to work with you at Portage Park!

I look forward to supporting and expanding your Reading and Writing skills, exploring Science experiments, and learning about current events in Social Science with you in your classrooms. Let’s help each other by working together to make this a fun and successful school year!
