Welcome to Room 303! My name is Ms. Boyer and I am the 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Portage Park. I am very excited to begin my fourth year as a Portage Park Panther and my first year teaching Social Studies at PPES! Please feel free to contact me with any questions: ceboyer@cps.edu !
Some things about me:
I graduated in 2021 from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in Middle Level Teacher Education, with endorsements in Math and Social Studies.
I am a huge fan of the outdoors. I worked for several summers at a summer camp in New Hampshire and loved spending that time immersed in nature in the White Mountains! My favorite outdoor activities are hiking, kayaking, walking, picnicking, etc.
In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, reading, crocheting, spending time outdoors, biking, cooking, baking, and eating all kinds of delicious foods! I also love visiting museums, especially the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Griffith Observatory, and the Griffith Museum of Science and Industry!
I absolutely love to travel to visit friends and family! Over the summer, I travelled to Seattle, St. Louis, Springfield (Illinois), Orange County (California), the Bay Area, and Paris!
