Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the College Board, which offers college-level courses and examinations to high school students. Taking AP courses and doing well on the AP exam can help you earn college credit. All state of Illinois public universities will award college credit to a student who scores a 3 or above on an AP exam. Students enrolled in an AP course will take the AP exam in May. There is a cost associated with taking the exam.
You can find additional information on each course in the "Course Offerings" section of the website organized by department.
