Graduation REquirements

** Per IL law, all CPS students must participate in 4 years of physical education and only two of those years are needed for graduation. The other two years are counted as elective credit. 

+ Students currently enrolled in a CTE program (Pre-Law or Pre-Engineering) must enroll in the next course in their CTE sequence.

NC= Non-Credit Graduation Requirement

Early Graduation Disclaimer:

CPS does not have a formal policy that supports early graduation.  Freshman students with pre-9th grade may be able to get promoted to sophomore status prior to the end of freshman year in order to accelerate their progress toward graduation.  Counselors will reach out to freshmen directly to discuss this possibility.
